ROBERT HOOD (M-Plant, Music Man, Dekmantel. Detroit)
Robert Hood needs little introduction. Founding member of the legendary group Underground Resistance as a ‘Minister Of Information’ with ‘Mad’ Mike Banks & Jeff Mills, his seminal works on Jeff Mill’s Axis and his very own M-Plant imprint paved the way for a wave of stripped-down dancefloor minimalism that directed much of techno’s path throughout the late Nineties.
MØRBECK (Code Is Law. Berlin)
Since his early youth Berlin born Mørbeck was involved in the club scene of the German capital. Inspired by 90s Hip Hop and Techno he set up his first studio in 2002 and began producing music of both genres. In 2013 he founded his own imprint Code Is Law as a platform for his own music and for artists who shared his vision and passion for Techno. The love for the art and the striving for versatility can be observed not only in his work for the label but also in his DJ sets. The influences from his past are all coming together now shaping the typical Mørbeck sound: rough, groovy, melodic and constantly evolving Techno as you can hear on his most recent release – the highly acclaimed double EP “T.R.I.P.S.“.
LESSIZMORE INVITES TOI.TOI.MUSIK
Toi.Toi.Musik is more than just a club night, an agency, a record label – Toi.Toi is a complete musical culture and ethos; one that is clearly fighting against the tide when so much of the electronic music scene moves towards commercialisation, imitation and inauthenticity. They’ve attracted hugely respected underground artists to their Toi.Toi agency, and their vinyl-only record label will no doubt emulate this same success. For this edition Lessizmore has invited the well respected Jan Krueger, Daze Maxim with his live set up and co-founder Voitgmann.
