Berlin based DJ, producer and label owner Len Faki is one of the most outstanding and in-demand artists in techno’s present age. He is an internationally requested dj, whose productions and remixes are played by techno’s most prominent names. Being a resident at Berlin’s prime techno club Berghain since its opening in 2004 keeps him open-minded as both, dj and producer. His sound is constantly evolving without ever losing its vibrant, unique energy and the passion and heart he puts into his sets. His gigs are an audio-visual adventure where he is not only playing for the crowd but rather performing for and with them.
Here are Len’s three tracks:
Like A Tim – Like 6-1 [Like Records]
“I recently digged into my record collection and rediscovered this 13 year old gem that is a quite eccentric blend of acid and shuffle beats. Warehouse vibes definitely too. I loved to play this one back then and still do! In my opinion a timeless classic.”
Nocow – Forgiven [FIGURE]
“Not a big fan of self-promotion, but this track is one I have to mention. It’s part of Nocow’s trilogy ‚Vozduh, Voda, Zemlya‘ that I’m happy to have signed recently on Figure. Forgiven is an amazing combination – rough fundament with soft vocals on top. Reminds me of some of the Techno from the 90s that I could experience. A track that carries emotions and just needs very few elements to do so. Surely this will stay in my sets for a long time – and generally age well.”
Floating Points – Argente [from the Album ‚Elaenia’]
“Perfect record to listen to at home after the club. Especially after a long and busy weekend to relax and reflect all the impressions. The Album has a nice ambient vibe but at the same time also a club feeling to it, which I like!”
Len Faki is playing at 24 years Fuse on Saturday April 14th.
